WHY NOT DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR CLASS IN ANTI-POVERTY WEEK?
1. What is Anti-poverty week?
2. What can my school do for Anti-Poverty Week?
- Your school could organise an event or activity during the week, see the Anti-Poverty Week website Joining In and Schools pages.
- Or you could focus on ensuring full participation and successful engagement in school life for families experiencing financial hardship, for example by using an equity checklist. For further ideas and information see How can schools help students from low-income families? a guide to helping schools guarantee equality in education.
3. Resources
For helpful resources on poverty generally, see Links to helpful websites and the Anti-Poverty Week website Resources page (which includes useful links, fact sheets and reports).
We
would be delighted to be told about what you did and to receive
