INDIGENOUS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SEMINAR: 26 MAY 2009

 

The Federal Government has committed to prioritising Indigenous children in its rollout of universal provision of early childhood education.

  • What are the implications for Indigenous communities?
  • How do educators ensure that provision is culturally appropriate?
  • What is the appropriate role of Indigenous languages?
  • What are the workforce issues for the early childhoood teachers? Speakers include Indigenous early childhood teachers and academics, representatives fromkey organisations and the federal office of Early Childhood Education and Childcare.

    Workshops will provide opportunities for dialogue and feedback

    The Indigenous Early Childhood Education Seminar will be held on 26 May 2009 from 9.00am to 4.30pm at Conferences on Clarendon Ground Floor, 120 Clarendon Street, Southbank 3006
