Say Yes to Climate Action

Climate change is one of the most pressing economic, social and environmental challenges we face.

We believe, as educators and unionists that it's vital unions are involved in debates on climate change to ensure that workers are not left out in the move to a low-pollution economy.

The AEU believes the federal government's policy of a price on pollution is a necessary first step in taking action on climate change, and is pleased the legislation has passed through parliament. We thank all AEU members who joined the campaign.

AEU Environment Policy
The AEU has long standing policy about environmental education and combating climate change, which includes specific support for a price on pollution.

You can use this policy as part of discussion in your workplaces and as the basis for your own resolutions of support for a price on pollution, to your union, to the media or to members of parliament.
