2009 National TAFE Council Annual General Meeting

 

    The 2009 National TAFE Council AGM was held in Melbourne in January and the Decisions of this Meeting outline the priorities and broad framework of the National TAFE Council for this year.

    Several presentations were made at the AGM by guest speakers.

    Dr Leesa Wheelahan, Senior Lecturer, Adult and Vocational Education, School of Eduction and Professional studies at Griffith University, Queensland, gave two presentations. The first was Market Design and Contestable Funding and the second was Higher Education in TAFE.

    Jim Davidson, Deputy Secretary Tertiary, Youth and International, DEEWR gave a presentation entitled The VET Market.

    Professor Terry Seddon, Faculty of Education, Monash University, provided a presentation on Market Reform and Professionalisation: An agenda for public VET.

    Gavin Moodie, Principal Advisor at Griffith University, Queensland, gave his presentation on Professional Work: uncertain futures.
