World Teachers' Day
World Teachers' Day will be celebrated in Australia on Friday 28 October 2011. Over 100 countries acknowledge World Teachers' Day. The joint declaration from UNESCO, UNDP, ILO and UNICEF tells teachers to "be assured that there is no substitute for your profession, which deserves the respect and support of everyone. Let there be no mistake: our future depends on it." This annual event celebrates the teaching profession and honours all teaching professionals. The theme of this year's World Teachers' Day is: Teachers for Gender Equality.
A printer version of the poster is also available here.
