Workload
The most concerning issue for AEU women is workload, with over 90% of What AEU Women Want survey participants saying it is "very concerning" (68%) or "moderately concerning" (29%). Though there was not any follow up questions to this issue, it stands as a validation to Branches and Associated Bodies to know their efforts to campaign for reductions in workload (and knowing the levels of support and concern amongst the membership) should serve to indicate the potential for strong member activism.
Workload will be addressed at Conference via a panel session and will discuss the various approaches being taken by Branches and Associated Bodies to reduce workload whether by direct campaigning or collective bargaining and the success or otherwise of these strategies.
