This workshop will broadly deal with notions of:
- Wage freezes and industrial strategies
- Professional Pay for teachers
- International affects of the GFC in schools such as school budget cuts in New York etc
Pat Ranald from the ACTU Organising Education and Campaign Centre has been invited to assist with this workshop by providing a broad perspective of how the financial climate is impacting women's employment, hours and pay. The workshop will also consider the national and international perspective regarding the impact of the GFC on public education. Women's Officers Barb Jennings and Roz Madsen will assist in the running of this workshop.
