Helen Henry will put forward the experiences of those involved with Sisters on the Planet in response to climate change and feed into the discussion about how women's action in response to these global challenges can be encouraged. The workshop will attempt to foster both local and global action to reverse the damage of climate change.
The workshop will discuss:
- local efforts by women,
- encouraging green jobs,
- climate change curriculum and students' activities in schools and ways the union can encourage action by departments, including infrastructure following economic stimulus, teacher housing, etc
Women's Officers Catherine Davis, Bronwyn Croghan and Sue Stanaway will assist in the running of this workshop.
