The AEU has this year produced poster and leaflet material to assist AEU members in Branches and Associated Bodies across the country to understand the significance of International Women's Day, learn about the gains the AEU has made for women and some of the union women who worked hard to secure those gains and formal leadership roles within the union for the first time.
The poster is to mark International Women's Day, as we proudly do each year and importantly to celebrate those gains and to never allow us to go backwards!
The AEU encourages members to:

Women's Suffrage is a great cause for celebration, however it is important to recognise that although some states had granted men and women the vote prior to 1902, full voting rights were not granted to Indigenous Australians until 1962.
