2000 AEU Federal Women's Conference

 

The 2000 Federal Women's Conference was held on 30 September and 1 October 2000. The theme of the Conference was 'Weaving the Web - Women, Community and Unions' and the key note speaker was Michelle Hogan from the United Trades and Labor Council of SA on 'How to weave the web'.

The following workshops were held:

  • Community links
  • Controlling our work, controlling our profession
  • Reclaiming community: the work of TAFE teachers and the union
  • International global connections.

Conference participants came from every State/Territory as delegates of their AEU Branch/Associated Body.
