The search engine will search for all documents on the AEU web site.
Search options include:
- Searching for whole phrases by embedding an expression in quote characters,
e.g. "public education", or by selecting the 'exact phrase'
option. Only the documents that contain the word 'education' following
'public' will be listed in the results.
- Advanced boolean searching (using AND, OR, NOT and parentheses)
Examples:
(funding and schools) not TAFE
"public education" and (TAFE or VET)
- Wildcard searching
e.g. searching for all words starting with, ending with, or containing
a given letter sequence) by using the * and ? characters.
* can be used for any number of characters, while ? represents only a single character.
Examples:
educate? Will match words like: educate, educated, educates
educat* Will match words like: educate, education, educational, educating etc.
*tribut? which will match words like: contribute, attribute,
tribute.
