Preschool Funding Now
Every child deserves two years of funded preschool.
Early childhood education with a qualified preschool teacher sets up children for a life of learning. But federal funding for preschool runs out at the end of 2020.
Without Commonwealth funding, universal access to 15 hours of preschool is not guaranteed.
We’re calling on the federal government to commit to its share of permanent funding for early childhood education.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- 1.Request a “Preschool Funding Now postcard pack” from the AEU by emailing [email protected] OR download postcards from our website - here.
- 2.Ask families and colleagues to sign the postcards and return by the reply-paid envelope (included in postcard pack) by the 10th of March 2020. If you have chosen to download postcards from our website simply scan and email to [email protected]org.au.
The postcards will be delivered to the federal government in March 2020 to demonstrate that families, communities and the profession demand the federal government remain committed to preschool children, families and the profession.
