2018 Annual Federal Conference

This year’s AEU Federal Conference ran from 23-25 February and included a range of speakers and workshops covering the broad range of issues affecting educators, including the union's campaigns on schools funding, early childhood education and TAFE.

This year also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Australian Education Union.

Speakers included Bill Shorten, Leader of the Opposition; Richard Di Natale, Leader of the Australian Greens; Sharan Burrow, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) General Secretary; Sally MacManus, ACTU Secretary; and Dr Jim Stanford, Director, Centre for Future Work, Australia Institute.
