The Australian Education Union is proud to stand with United Workers Union and the Perfection 12.

The Perfection 12 are twelve women fighting for justice after surviving sexual violence at their workplace, Perfection Fresh.

Just like members of the AEU, these United Workers Union members share a strong commitment to gender equity, and believe all women have a right to be safe at work.

We’re supporting these union women in their fight and are asking AEU members to join us.

Perfection Fresh’s most lucrative product is ‘qukes’ (small snacking cucumbers), which the company aggressively markets to parents to put in kids' lunch boxes. United Workers Union are calling for a boycott on buying qukes until Perfection Fresh addresses the rife sexual harassment in their workplaces.

As teachers, principals & support staff, we have a unique and powerful role to play. Support workers at Perfection Fresh in their fight for a safe workplace by boycotting qukes, and encouraging your friends, family and school communities to do the same.

This small yet powerful action could significantly contribute to these women winning.

It will send a strong message to Perfection Fresh and the supermarkets that union women everywhere will come together to support each other and fight to end gendered violence in the workplace.

You can also support the campaign by emailing major supermarkets who stock Perfection Fresh produce, and by emailing Perfection Fresh’s parent company PSP Investments.
